Paulina Starborn,cantante 25enne di Stoccolma e concorrente all'Isola Dei Famosi svedese(fa curriculum anche questo ai giorni nostri) è davvero convinta di essere una stella della musica e cosi' ci rifila "Never Gonna Let Me Go",il primo singolo da solista(era nelle Hollywood Dools) con il quale ci mostra il lato peggiore dell'electro-pop nordica che invece ha in Robyn,Aqua etc.  degli esponenti senz'altro piu' dotati.E infine per la serie "I Soliti Sospetti":cantateci sopra "International Love" di Pitbull e Chris Brown...

Ecco un veloce aggiornamento su alcuni video usciti nelle scorse settimane e catalogabili alla voce "ITPOP":chi come Emma Marrone cerca di mostrarsi piu' grintosa e moderna seppur con una scrittura al contrario davvero deludente(ma tanto ha ragione lei finchè centra la n.1 col singolo e vende ancora molte copie dell'album "Saro' Libera") ;invece è piu' di basso profilo(già solo per il gossip...) Noemi che si è rilanciata a Sanremo ed ora prosegue la promozione della riedizione di "RossoNoemi" con il nuovo "In Un Giorno Qualunque".A  dire il vero le radio prediligono "La Promessa" ,traccia in cui collabora con gli Stadio.Vedremo anche i video di Pino Daniele dal disco "La Grande Madre" e di J.Ax da "Meglio Live!"(cd dal vivo con 5 inediti).Quest'ultimo è fin troppo sovraesposto con collaborazioni a destra e sinistra(discreta quella con Max Pezzali,pessima con i Kasabian) che inevitabilmente fanno abbassare drasticamente la qualità dei suoi testi ma contento lui...

Nel 2001 tra i singoli piu' venduti negli States c'erano "Fallin" di Alicia Keys,i Train con "Drops Of Jupiter" e tanti altri nomi che hanno sfondato dalle nostre parti.Ma c'erano anche pezzi che non hanno fatto il botto in Europa e qui ne ho selezionati tre:la prima hit della band alternative californiana Lifehouse(doppio platino col disco d'esordio ed arrivati al secondo posto con questo brano);il dj Moby con l'album "Play" è esploso anche da noi ma il singolo con Gwen Stefani non è tra i successi che conosciamo di piu',invece ha raggiunto la 14esima posizione negli States;Missy Elliott ha raggiunto la n.15 con il brano che ascolteremo,uno dei piu' noti della sua discografia.

"Drank In My Cup"(n.28 nella Billboard chart) è il pezzo piu' conosciuto di Kirko Bangz,rapper 22enne di Houston che l'ha pubblicato quasi un anno fa ma solo ora viene promosso anche dalle nostre parti.Lo trovate nel mixtape "Progression 2:A Young Texas Playa" ,il suo debutto per una major discografica.Sound piuttosto convenzionale con la voce ritoccata "alla Drake" ma con uno spessore artistico di molto inferiore,almeno in base alle rime  che ci propone.
