Michael Franti e Jovanotti sono grandi amici e si scambiano le collaborazioni all'interno dei loro album.Il cantautore californiano non è molto conosciuto dalle nostre parti e cosi' per lanciare la title-track del suo disco "The Sound Of Sunshine", ci voleva la voce familiare del Lorenzo nazionale.Il brano folk-pop sembra proprio cucito su misura per il duo,solarità e good vibrations sono un po a buon mercato ma comunque ben accette.

LO SPELEOLOGO

"The Sound Of Sunshine" è l'album di Michael Franti con gli Spearhead,pubblicato lo scorso settembre.Il cantante/poeta californiano svaria molto nei generi,ma in "Hey Hey Hey" si contiene fin troppo in un classico pop-rock con i soliti toni da predicatore.Merita il 6 per la duratura coerenza dei suoi messaggi di pace(inclusi anche nel testo seguente),ma abbiamo ascoltato brani decisamente migliori.

Non l'avranno presa bene i Maroon 5 che speravano con "Hands All Over" di confermare il primo posto ottenuto col disco precedente.Invece si piazza davanti a tutti la Zac Brown Band con "You Get What You Give".Il quarto album del collettivo country-rock di Atlanta, attivo dal 2000,difficilmente sarà pubblicizzato dalle nostre parti.Qui sotto trovate il video del primo singolo realizzato con la star del genere Alan Jackson.Dietro al gruppo di Adam Levine troviamo "A Thousand Suns" dei Linkin Park e le novità "A Year Without Rain" della disney-girl Selena Gomez e "Guitar Heaven" di Santana.Tra i nuovi ingressi vi segnalo anche John Legend & The Roots alla 8 con "Wake Up!" ed alla 17 Michael Franti & Spearhead con "The Sound Of Sunshine".Per il 44enne californiano e la sua band,la miscela di rap,reggae,surf-rock  rimane invariata ma è sempre piacevole ascoltarla anche per il messaggio di pace e serenità che traspare pur non conoscendo perfettamente l'inglese(è il mio caso).Su BILLBOARD.COM trovate maggiori dettagli sulla top 200.Nella single-chart è stabile in prima posizione Bruno Mars con "Just The Way You Are".Seguono Katy Perry,Eminem/Rihanna,Usher/Pitbull e Taio Cruz.
