Eric Turner è un cantante di Boston che di certo non se ne sta con le mani in mano ad aspettare che il successo gli piova dal cielo.Alcuni anni fa si è trasferito in Svezia dove ha fondato una band con cui ha inciso un album nel 2011 ma la svolta è arrivata con l’interessamento di un manager locale che ha ascoltato la sua versione di un brano che poi sarebbe diventato la hit “Written In The Stars” cantata da lui ed il rapper Tinie Tempah.Ora il duo si ricompone con l’aggiunta di Lupe Fiasco(altro favore ricambiato) per “Angels & Stars”,traccia inclusa nel primo disco solista.Apprezzo questo incrocio tra rock e hip-hop,tuttavia con qualche analogia di troppo(pure il titolo?!) con la hit già conosciuta che raffredda un po gli entusiasmi.
